The William R Livingston II Memorial Scholarship Fund, in partnership with the Larry Bruno Foundation, is pleased to announce the creation of a yearly scholarship, to be given to a deserving individual(s) committed to the betterment of self and others through law enforcement and community service.

The scholarship is named for William “Bill” Livingston, a man who not only served a distinguished career in law enforcement and judicial affairs, but also served as a Patterson Twp. volunteer firefighter for more than 20 years and coached New Brighton’s Midget Football program for 15 years, and the New Brighton High School program for 2 years.

He was also loyal friend, a loving husband and father, a dedicated civil servant, a fair and compassionate Magistrate and the Keeper of the Flame for Taylor’s Bums.

A 1969 graduate of Beaver Falls High School, Livingston studied Criminal Justice at the Community College of Beaver County and the PA State Police Academy. He was one of the original full-time members of the Patterson Township PD, serving as Patrolman, Assistant Chief of Police, and Chief of Police during his 23-year career. In 2004 Livingston received his Magisterial District Judge Certification and in November 2005 was appointed by Governor Edward G. Rendell to fill the unexpired term of a retiring District Judge. In 2008 and 2013 Livingston was re-elected to serve six-year terms.

Bill Livingston led an exemplary life in service to others, so to honor that life we are pleased to announce The William R. Livingston II Memorial Scholarship Fund.
